Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell will miss the tour of Pakistan and likely to miss initial matches in the IPL for his wedding next month. Maxwell was talking to ‘Fox Sports’ where he said the situation is unavoidable as changes were made in the upcoming Pakistan tour schedule. Revised Pakistan limited overs tour is scheduled from March 29 and IPL 2022 is also scheduled to start In the last week of march.

“Originally when I organised the dates with CA there was a two-week gap where I could potentially have it,” Maxwell said after the third T20 against Sri Lanka in Canberra. “So when I sorted that out I was pretty happy that I wasn’t going to be missing in any series. And then I came to the ‘CA’ contract meeting midway through last year and they said well this is when the Pakistan series is on and I thought well obviously that’s changed since the last conversation we had,” Maxwell told ‘Fox Sports’.

Meanwhile his wedding has now become the talk of the town as the wedding card was leaked online by one of therelative from the Indian side.

In an interaction with www.cricket.com.au, Maxwell said, “It was not ideal. We’ve got to get extra security for the wedding now. It was supposed to be a private event and unfortunately the relatives over in India just got a little bit excited and decide to show a few friends. Next minute, it’s in pretty much every paper over there and I’m getting tweeted it by pretty much everyone. So that was that was a shock. It’s been a busy couple of days. “
