Australian All-rounder Glenn Maxwell has joined the team ahead of the match again Rajasthan Royals on April 5. Glenn Maxwell has completed his quarantine and started practising from today. He’ll be available for selection from game against Mumbai Indians on April 9. Maxwell was seen meeting his friend Yuzvendra Chahal during the practice session today. Chahal is now part of Rajasthan Royals franchise.
Royal Challengers Bangalore has played two matches in the IPL 2022 season so far. Lost the first one against Punjab Kings after posting 200 plus on the board and won the next match against Kolkata Knight Riders in a thrilling encounter by 3 wickets.
Maxwell joined the Squad late and unavailability was because of his marriage. He did not take part in the limited overs series in Pakistan as well, which Pakistan won by 2-1.

Glenn Maxwell will certainly strengthen the RCB batting lineup along with Faf du Plessis, Virat kohli and DK.

In the first season with RCB last year, he was exceptional. He showed lot of maturity and responsibility. He scored 513 runs in 15 matches with an average of 42.75 and strike rate of 144.10. He was the highest run-getter for the franchise in 2021.
His strike rate is never a question when he is batting, he is a busy cricketer on the pitch and can start hitting from the first ball. He can bowl in the power play as well as later in the innings and his fielding is of top class. All these qualities make him a genuine high performing all-rounder in the game and that is why RCB retained him ahead of the mega auction for INR 11cr.
