Qualifier 2 of IPL 2022 will be played between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Ahmedabad on May 27, 2022. Both teams are one step away from IPL 2022 final.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

RCB won the last match by 14 runs against LSG in the knockout game.

Rajat Patidar and Harshal Patel were the main architects of the win for RCB. Captain Faf du Plessis did not get going but he has a reputation of scoring runs in knockout matches. Virat Kohli looked good on the crease but could not convert his start.

Dinesh Karthik did the job of a finisher really well. Josh Hazlewood bowled brilliantly at the death. They are just one step away from playing the finals and they will be hoping Kohli and Faf provide them a good start whether they chase or set up a total. RCB looks like a very balanced team. Maxwell did not bowl in the last match, he was not 100%. He has recovered and will see him bowling against RR.

Rajasthan Royals

RR lost the match against GT but as they finished in the top two after league matches so they will get another chance and play RCB for a place in final. Jos took some time in the middle and smashed later on. Padikkal and Sanju Samson batted brilliantly.

Do not think Prasidh Krishna will bowl at the death if they chase against RCB today after the hammering he got in the last over in RR vs GT. Ravichandran Ashwin was not at his best with the ball in the last match. RR will be banking big on Ashwin. Yuzvendra Chahal has been the star performer with the ball for them.

Pitch Report

Match will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. This will be the first match of the IPL on this venue. The match is expected to be a high scoring one. Due might come in to the play later on so wickets in hands will be the key. With big boundaries, spinner will come in to the play. 175-18 will be an ideal score on this pitch
