PAKISTAN

Pakistan chased down 344 in the fourth innings of the 1^st test match to win the match by 4 wickets on the last day. It was an amazing effort from the visiting side. Abdullah Shafique score 160* in the 2^nd innings while Babar Azam scored another test century in the first innings. Mohammad Nawaz took 6 wickets in the test match and Shaheen Shah Afridi took 4 wickets in the first innings. Afridi is injured and is out of the second test match. That should not worry team Pakistan as they have enough pace battery in Hasan Ali and Naseem Shah. Sri Lanka will be looking to bounce back in the second test match but Pakistan appears to be a stronger side between the two.

SRI LANKA

Sri Lanka fought really hard in the first test and scored 337 in the second innings thanks to brilliant batting once again from Dinesh Chadimal. Prabath Jayasuriya took 9 wickets in the test match and he was probably only one bowler caused difficulties for Pakistani batters. Sri Lanka will need to bowl better in the second test match. Angelo Mathews is the most experience batter from Sri Lanka side and he needs to fire only a couple of batters cannot take them to a great score. Dimuth Karunaratne also will like to lead from the front; he could not contribute with the bat in the 1^st

test.

PITCH REPORT:

Galle pitch played beautifully for all five days in the first test. In the second innings batting conditions gets relatively better. Spinners are expected to dominate in the test match. Pacers will get swing in the first hour or so.
